Into the Woods #Movietakeaway The musical that made me forget it was a musical. #SpoilerFree

I've had the tradition of going to the movies on Christmas and Thanksgiving for at least 10 yrs.  This year for on Thanksgiving I saw Mockingjay (I already made a post about that) and this year for Christmas I saw Into The Woods. First let me say that I actually hate musicals and I was surprised at how great the trailer looked, and equally surprised that I wanted to actually see it.  The songs and music was great, the acting amazing, and it was a visually stunning.  The story however was all over the place there was no rhyme or reason to the story.  An while it semi made the stories connect it only did so in a very half assed way.  They left many of the story lines incomplete and it just kind of ended awkward IMO.  I was left with that ehhhh...... feeling.  I don't know about you but for me the ending of a movie can make or break the movie.  This movie totally dropped the ball on the ending but the saving grace was the music was absolutely great.  So in conclusion I give it a #Meh AND #Yay at the same time.  It gets a #Meh for the story line and a #Yay for everything else.  So if you love musicals then definitely go see it, but if you are not a fan of musicals then I highly suggest that you skip and wait for the redbox or DVD.
