So since all my shows are on summer hiatus and I had some extra time on my hands so I decided to binge watch a few things.
First up is Smallville, believe it or not there was a time when I despised the CW and would not watch the channel. Funny part is I don't even remember why so when Smallville originally aired I did not watch.... I know!!! Crazy right!!!! Any how I started my binge of Smallville in May and I am now on season 9 episode 5 finally seeing the light at the end of the red/blue blur tunnel. As many should know Smallville tells the story of young Clark Kent aka Superman before he became Superman. Clarke is played by the amazing Tom Welling. Smallville starts when Clarke is a bumbling freshman in high school making googly eyes over Lana Lang. The show goes through his years at Smallville high and then his time brief stay at Central Kansas A&M and then his time as the mild manner reporter we all know and love as Clarke Kent. I absolutely love the show.... The only complaint I have with show like with all other CW shows is how poorly females are written on this show. They all have their moments where they are OK but for the most part they are poorly written. Lana, Lois, Chloe, Tess. the only well written female on the show is Martha Kent. Martha and Jonathan Kent are perfect. Other than that this show has been amazing! Definitely worth a watch if you've never seen before.
Next is Orange is the New Black season 3 it was a definite bummer this season. Very meh all the characters got on my nerves and the story arcs for all the characters was just OK nothing really exciting. There was a few times when I seriously contemplated not finishing the show. Pipper as always was annoying which is actually nothing new but what was new for this season was how much the other character that I love also got on my nerves Daya, Tasty, Crazy eyes.... everyone. Last season was so good so everyone had very high expectations for this season so for me it was huge let down.
Wet Hot American Summer: First day at camp. If you've never seen the movie this show might not be the show for you. P.S the movie is on Netflix and is crazy funny so I would quickly watch that before binging on the show. Now I will be the first to say the show as not as funny as the movie but it was still great and very entertaining and definitely worth a watch. One of the best thing about the show is that the entire cast of the movie was able to do the show which made it even better. I also loved all the guest stars on the show as well Chris Pine and Jon Hamm especially. If you loved the movie then you have to watch the show.
Sense8 to be honest every time I sit down and try to explain this show I come up blank. Its one of those shows that you have to see to understand because trying to explain it will take you forever. Here is what you need to know 8 strangers from around the world are mentally connected. I have nothing but good things to say about this show. The story, the characters, how the show flows, how they portray everyone's connection, everything about this show is amazing. One warning if you are uncomfortable with sex or homosexuality then this may not be the show for you. If you are OK with those thing then ADD THIS SHOW TO YOUR NETFLIX LIST!! An there will be a season 2!!
Last but not least The Strain. When this show originally aired I did not watch, I don't know why I didn't watch it but I didn't!! But I was taking a Smallville break and it was new on Hulu Plus so I figured what the hell. I finished the show in 3 days and then I kicked myself for not watching it in the first damn place! This is not your typical "vampire" or "monster" show first off it makes no mention of monsters or vampires what it does make mention of is a plague/disease. This plague "changes" people it is not until midway through that the word vampire and or monster is even mentioned. I really love this show and how it is "monster/vampire" show with out being a run of the mill "monster/vampire" show. One thing about the show that still confuses me even now in season 2 is how there is this plague that is turning people into vampires in NYC and there is not much urgency around anything and most of the elected officials are completely clueless. People are still going about their daily lives and there is millions of people who are infected! How?? That is the only issue that I have with the show. If you are a fan of vampire shows in any capacity then The Strain is a show you should be watching because it is one of the best vampire/monster shows on TV right now.

P.S After I am done with Smallville which will be really soon. I will start my weekend binge series and the first show I will be binging will be Power.
