Friday Death Slot

So I've thought bout this a lot especially after Dracula got canceled last year. NBC has a tendency to "Friday death slot" their Sci Fi/Fantasy shows i.e. Grimm, Constantine, and Dracula shows that in my opinion are really good shows that are/were never given a fighting chance.  With the exception of Grimm which already had a cult following before it got moved to Friday, shows don't last on Friday.  Lets talk about Grimm now in its 4th season is one of the only shows that's been able to survive and thrive in the #FDS.  Some how Grimm has manged to do well, luckily for Grimm its fans (me included) have traveled with the show no matter the day or time.  Grimm fans are extremely loyal and will fight for the show.  But for a network to premiere a show on Friday is beyond me.  Friday night is just not a day that most people sit in front the TV even in the winter.  Especially with the demographic they are trying to reach (18 to 34), it just does not make sense to premiere a show on a Friday at 9 or 10 pm.  An although I know that many will not agree with me Dracula wasn't terrible.  It just wasn't given a chance, I feel that had it gotten a second season it could have been better.  Now I will say that Constantine is much much much better than Dracula and it also has a better chance but I still am not going to get my hopes up.  Constantine is a well written show and has the comic book back story to help it succeed unlike Dracula.  So hopefully Constantine will last and will either get another season or make it out of the Friday death slot.  #RantOver
