Hey there everybody! My name is Nick Lansberry, and I’m going to be helping my good friend Nichelle out here with some content for her blog. I’ve been interested in sharing some of my thoughts on cinema and general geekery for a while now, and now I have a platform to do it! This is my very first blog post (don’t judge!) so I figured I’d start with a little “About Me.”
Like I said, my name is Nick Lansberry. I grew up in West-Central PA and I currently reside in Pittsburgh. I work as an analyst at a data center, and when I’m not at work, I’m both a world (well, mostly US) traveler as well as an independent film-maker. I produce short films under the moniker River Reel Productions, LLC. I hold an AS in Business, and will be turning that into a BS here soon.
Does any of this really qualify me to tell you whether or not you should watch a certain movie, play a certain game, or try a new piece of technology? Not in the slightest! But I will tell you that what I offer is more of an optimistic, less harsh, “silver lining” point of view of most subjects. I’ve always considered myself a “glass half full” kind of guy, and I hope I can pass that along to my readers. Even if a movie or a game is absolutely awful, there’s almost always one thing you can take away from it, whether it be a lesson or just something that you really enjoyed.
I’m a jack of all trades, master of none. I don’t have a favorite genre. I don’t like to stick to one type of content. You’ll see me cover everything from books to movies, from TV shows to emerging tech, from new apps to board games. Am I an expert? Not even close. But I hope that I can share with you a few of my light hearted thoughts about some of the world’s latest and greatest geekiness.
So buckle up everybody! We’re going to get ready, make some mistakes, and get real messy.
